Trillian Instant Messaging Application

Tired of having multiple Instant messaging clients filling up precious space in your system tray? Then I have the solution to you problem. It’s a little application called trillian but it is big where is counts.

I have been using trillian since 2004 and I love it. I was out of the habbit there for a while of IMing friends. The reason, well because I hated having all my IM clients filling up my system tray. Yes I’m anal about running a clean tidy system.

Then I found trillian. You may be asking yourself what is trillian. Trillian is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC.

There is a free version as well as a paid "Pro" version ($25). The free version seems to do everything that the Pro version can do with the exception that there are certain pluggins that only work with pro. I am currently running the pro version and sporting a jabber pluggin that incorporates the g-talk client. I also installed a spell check pluggin.

If you are looking for a Meebo alternative IM client that incorporates all your IM accounts into one place Trillian is for you. It’s defiantly worth checking out. You can visit the good folks at
ceruleanstudios for a free download.

Celestia Application

I wanted to share something really cool that I found surfing the web. It's a free application called Celestia. It has a actual database of over 100,000 stars, planets, asteroids...et.  The thing that I like the most is that you are not confined to the surface of the earth. You actually get to fly through the galaxy. Also you can see Hubble, The I.S.. and even Voyager. You can even download some cool add-ons. I had the USS Enterprise orbiting earth!! You can download this nifty app here.
